Post Holiday Wind Down and The Circle of Life

I'm am on break as I write,  from boxing up the "holiday".
There are Santa's, snowman and other singing, dancing bears etc. strewn about, laying in wait for the removal of batteries.
All the fake foliage has been bagged and tagged.
The nutcracker soldiers are again in their box .. yet the tree remains .. at least the big one.
Yes .. we have two.

There is a magic that Christmas brings .. if allowed.
A joy and innocence .. if left to it's own.
I like to preserve it as long as I can .. without letting it becoming tired, old and unwanted.
In a couple of days it must all be stashed, as even the Orthodox will be done with Christmas.
This is ok, .. and as it should be.

Like life.

This is part of the circle of life .. though now it is dark so early .. the days are getting longer.
Soon the first blooms of spring will soon follow and the blasting heat of summer.
We should not mourn what was .. we should honor the past and rejoice in the future.
The future is a new beginning .. another chance to enjoy and revel and perhaps improve ..

Apply this in all things and situations and you will never be consumed in sadness or regret.

Tonight I will toast all those whom I have know and think with anticipation to the future and what it will bring.
To every thing there is a season. Cheers.
